Work of Our Hands Spiritual Knitting & Crocheting Group

One way our church family can extend the hands of Christ to the surrounding community is through the Work of Our Hands Spiritual Knitting & Crocheting Group.  We get together every 2nd and 4th   Thursday of the month in the upper level of the Education Building at 1:00 pm. .  We share techniques and patterns, prayers and few laughs too.  In addition to working on our own projects, we also join together  to donate the work of our hands to area agencies such as hospitals, nursing  homes, hospices, veterans groups, Birthright, etc.  But more than anything, we enjoy the sense of community within the group.

We would love to have you join us if you are available. Any level of knitting or crocheting talent is welcome.  If you don't know how, we'll teach you! In addition, you can make your own items to donate using your patterns or ours.  Or, if you have extra yarn, we would welcome that donation, too.

  • Hats, mittens and scarves to the Open Door Mission

  • *Blankets to Sanctuary House, as well as hats, mittens, scarves and other "gifts" for their Christmas Shop for clients

Proceeds help to purchase yarn and other supplies needed to make our donated items.  Donations of yarn (any amount), needles/hooks, and patterns are also always appreciated.  Thank you for your generous support.  If you know of an agency or individual that needs assistance, please let us know.  Questions can be directed to Kathleen McMahon at kmcmahon@rochester.rr.com or 383-6005.
